Alpha Packaging, based in St. Louis, MO, has purchased Progressive Plastics, Inc., of Cleveland, OH, in its largest acquisition to date. Progressive is a manufacturer and decorator of plastic bottles and containers primarily for the personal care, auto care, housewares and food markets. The purchase adds over 160 stock items to Alpha’s product offerings and greatly expands Alpha’s two-stage PET molding capabilities. Progressive’s plant will operate as a branch of Alpha; operations in the Cleveland plant will continue to be run by Progressive executives.
